My dental school journey started when I was a pre-dental student trying to navigate the route to dental school acceptance. However, as you may know, there’s a lot of information out there and somehow many of us still get lost. When I first made the decision to pursue dentistry, I didn’t know anything about the DAT, how to study for it, which prerequisite courses need to be taken, which schools are the best to apply to, what makes a great applicant, or how I could distinguish myself from other applicants. No one was there to help, and those that could, wanted thousands of dollars. Having experienced and navigated the pre-dental journey successfully, I established a pre-dental roadmap to success for pre-dental students. Now, I’m starting my journey as a dentist and my goal is to be able to help you go from pre-dental student to dental student.

Dr. Rehan Shahid, DDS, MSHM, MBA, FAGD
Founder & CEODr. Rehan Shahid founded PreDental Consulting on a simple belief: every student deserves the guidance he wishes he'd had. A practicing dentist and Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, Rehan earned his dental degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and also holds a Master's in Health Management and an MBA — a rare combination that lets him see the admissions process the way committees actually do: as both a clinician and a strategist.
After personally helping pre-dental students earn acceptances to top dental schools, Rehan built PreDental Consulting to deliver that same guidance at scale — assembling a team of dentists who've been exactly where you are and designing the proven system they use with every student. Today he leads the company's vision and strategy, while our admissions process is delivered one-on-one by Dr. Nick Rodriguez and Dr. Brandon Le.

Dr. Nick Rodriguez, DDS, MS

Dr. Rodriguez earned his dental degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and completed his pediatric dental residency at Boston Children's Hospital through Harvard University. He has served on the admissions committees at both institutions, giving him a rare, insider view of exactly how applications are evaluated, what separates an interview invite from a rejection, and how the smallest details can change an outcome.

Most consultants will tell you about their easy path to dental school. Dr. Brandon Le will tell you the truth about a hard one.
His road to becoming a dentist was a grueling endurance race: four DAT attempts, multiple drafts of his personal essays, and five application cycles — all while working as a social worker, academic advisor, and after-school tutor and earning his master's degree. Every one of those experiences became fuel. He was ultimately accepted to Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, California, as well as A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health.
That journey is exactly why he's so good at this. As a non-traditional student and re-applicant, Brandon knows the highs, the lows, and the self-doubt that come with applying to dental school — and he knows what it actually takes to break through. During dental school he worked with pre-dental organizations at Cal Poly Pomona, USC, UCLA, and others, personally coaching students on personal statements, application strategy, and interview prep.
